Devon vineyards to visit

Family vineyards across the county, from the Dart and Teign valleys to the hills near Tiverton and the farmland around Barnstaple, many with a café, a restaurant or a cottage to stay in.

Devon wine in brief

  • Most Devon vineyards are small and run by the people who planted them, and many have a café or holiday cottages too.
  • Most visits pair a walk in the vines with a tasting in the winery or a barn, and the owners often lead the tours.
  • Tours mostly run from spring to September or October and nearly all are booked ahead. A few larger estates, such as Sandridge Barton, Calancombe and Kenton Park, stay open through the winter for tastings and food.

For tours, see West Country wine tours. Details checked in October 2026.
