Questions people ask

Which English vineyards have restaurants?

The larger estates, such as Chapel Down, Denbies, Hambledon, Rathfinny, Tillingham, The Mount and Three Choirs, have full restaurants. Many smaller vineyards serve platters, cream teas or lunch in a café.

Do I need to book lunch at a vineyard?

For restaurants, yes, especially at weekends. Cafés and platters are often walk-in, but some need ordering ahead; each entry says so where the vineyard does.

Can I take a picnic to a vineyard?

Some vineyards welcome picnics, and a few sell picnic hampers. Others do not allow your own food or drink, so check first.
