Photos from the tour listing.
A guided country walk of about nine miles between Charleston, the Bloomsbury group's farmhouse, and Rathfinny Wine Estate near Alfriston, done entirely on foot with no vehicles. The guide brings local snacks and pours a glass of local wine along the way.
Tastings and meals at Charleston or Rathfinny are not included, though the route can be planned around where you want to eat and drink. Rathfinny's Cellar Door offers a short free drop-in tasting. The guide can also arrange a taxi from Rathfinny back to Seaford station.
Nine miles over the Downs is a serious walk, so this needs reasonable fitness. Rathfinny's own vineyard trail closes during the October harvest.
Best for: fit walkers who want a long day on the South Downs with a glass of Sussex sparkling wine as the reward.
