A walk through the vines at this Devon vineyard, which grows the classic Champagne grapes, followed by a tasting.

Photos from the tour listing.
A guided walk at Swanaford, a family-run vineyard at Bridford in the Teign Valley, inside Dartmoor National Park. From the car park you go to the tasting barn, then walk through the vines, which include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the classic Champagne grapes. Back in the barn you taste four wines, two of them sparkling. It takes about 90 minutes.
Groups are kept small and the setting is lovely. Cheese and charcuterie boards are available by arrangement.
Tours run from Easter to the end of October and need at least six people to go ahead, so check with Swanaford if your group is smaller. Dogs on leads are welcome.
Best for: visitors near Exeter or on Dartmoor who want an unhurried look round a small Devon vineyard.
